The Louisville League Tennis is a non-profit organization founded in the early 1980’s. The mission of the Louisville League Tennis Association is to promote the development of USTA league programs and tennis within the metropolitan Louisville area, to establish and maintain rules of fair play and high standards of sportsmanship, to organize and oversee local tennis league play, and to represent Louisville as a single purpose community tennis association and as a member organization of the USTA.
The Local League Coordinator carries out the daily operations but policy is formed and much of the organization's work is executed via a Board of Directors, committees and numerous valuable volunteers.
United States Tennis Association Founded in 1881, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) is the national governing body for the sport of tennis in this country. In addition to owning the US Open and selecting members of the Davis Cup, Fed Cup, Olympic and Paraolympic teams, the USTA administers a variety of programs nationwide for players of all ages and ability levels.
