USTA League Tennis is the world’s largest recreational tennis league providing organized, structured team matches for all ability levels. The program is open to women and men 19 years and older, with skill levels ranging from beginner to advanced. Local winners can move on to compete in state, sectional and even national championships.
In 2008, USTA League Tennis has one season for adults beginning in January and ending in April. Team play consists of 2 singles and 3 doubles positions. The only exception is the 2.0, 2.5 and 5.0 level, which consists of 1 singles and 2 doubles positions. Play is either on Friday night, Saturday, or Sunday. The league fee is $22.00 plus a $3.00 tennislink user fee. Court fees are $14.00 per player per match. Players may register until April 1, 2008.
The National Tennis Rating Program (NRTP) is used to determine playing levels and USTA Louisville offers league play at the 2.5, 3.0, 3.5, 4.0, 4.5 and 5.0 levels.
Players may self-rate unless they have a current computer rating. USTA membership is required for all participants. Check the Louisville League Calendar for Spring, Summer, and Fall dates and deadlines!
